Public sentiment toward Poland’s government has reached its lowest point since Prime Minister Donald Tusk assumed office, according to a recent survey. The poll reveals that 50% of respondents believe Poland is on the wrong track, with only 28% expressing the opposite view that the country is moving in the right direction. The remaining 22% of those surveyed had no opinion on the matter. Compared to June’s figures, positive assessments have dropped by three percentage points, while negative perceptions have risen by two points.
The survey highlights that the government’s political ratings have hit a significant low during its current term. A notable 51% of respondents described the political situation in Poland as poor, marking the highest level of dissatisfaction since the government’s inception, whereas a mere 11% offered a positive evaluation of the political climate.
Economic perceptions among the public have also deteriorated. Although 34% of individuals still view the economy positively, compared to 30% who perceive it negatively, the overall optimism has declined since the previous month. Furthermore, a majority of respondents anticipate minimal improvement in the economic and political landscape over the next year, indicating growing concerns about the future.
Despite the general decline in confidence, a significant portion of the population remains content with their personal circumstances. About 63% of respondents expressed satisfaction with their family’s standard of living, and 64% described their household’s financial situation as favorable. However, both figures have seen a decrease since June.
The survey concludes that nearly all major indicators of public sentiment worsened in July, with particularly sharp declines in views on politics and expectations for future living standards.
